Cloud100 Games is pleased to announce its plans for the continuation of the Revolution D100 RPG line, started in 2015 under the brand Alephtar Games. The recent release of the Red Moon Rising RPG with the fulfilment of a long-delayed crowdfunding campaign provides an example of what is about to come. But there is more.
In 2026 we will launch the International Edition of Revolution D100, based on the rules that power Red Moon Rising. This new edition will be a full-colour hardcover book containing the core rules, published under the ORC license and presented with a crowdfunding campaign covering the English, French and Italian versions of the game. The historical supplement Stupor Mundi will be part of this campaign as an add-on or stretch goal to provide a sample setting complementing Red Moon Rising. The crowdfunding will take place in Spring 2026 with delivery in late 2026 or early 2027. A short delay is possible for the launch or fulfilment of this campaign, but Cloud100 Games wishes to make an engagement with its customers to avoid missing deadlines by more than a handful of months. We guarantee that you will have the new book on your gaming table in 2027, with two historical and one steampunk setting already available for it.
The new edition will come with enhanced tools for online play, such as support for Virtual Tabletop platforms. These tools will not be an afterthought that comes long after the release of the printed edition but a core component of the game line. Support for Fantasy Grounds is already available, and support for Foundry VTT will come as soon as possible. The availability of computer assisted tools will help new players deal with the crunchy bits of our game system and focus on creating an unforgettable gaming experience.
From that point on, Cloud100 Games will proceed to crowdfund one new setting or genre book per year. We regard this as a further engagement about keeping deadlines, as you need to have all related campaigns fulfilled if you want to be successful with a new crowdfunding.
The first setting, scheduled for launch in 2027 and delivery not later than 2028, will be a fantasy historical setting based on Japan in the Sengoku period. Paolo Guccione and Gianni Vacca will co-author this product, which aims at providing a faithful but highly gameable representation of Buddhism, Daoism and Shinto while remaining historically accurate. More supplements will follow with a yearly publication schedule.
